When I get a credit for “Beer” in a couple’s list of favourite suppliers, I know to expect a pretty special wedding. (Tip: there’s no place for Carling at weddings!) – and Rachel & Shaun’s day lives up to expectations, flies past them in a blaze of beauty and leaves me wanting more. Their day was epic. They’re a gorgeous couple, the vibe of the entire day is joyful – the smiles never stop from bridal prep through to the evening spent crowdsurfing. I love these two. Sometimes the finest plans can get a little – well, rained on. Poured on, even. The fact is, an English summer (as we’ve seen this week) doesn’t guarantee sunshine all day long. Still… Sam and David still proved you can have the most amazing, beautiful day even if the skies have something else in mind! These two are just gorgeous. Their day is full of fun and laughter, with the most beautiful florals and pretty styling touches. All images are by lovely Katie Winter Photography.

I’m so proud to be able to say we feature EVERY kind of wedding on English-Wedding.com. For me, a wedding doesn’t have to follow a standard formula or conform to a particular look, or trend. It only has to be a celebration of love, with a splash of creativity and imagination… and gorgeous couple Ayla & Jake celebrated their commitment to one another in the loveliest possible way. A sunrise ceremony in English woodland, albeit on a very rainy day, an ‘official’ registry office marriage and a cosy and heartwarming day spent with friends and family make this a really special wedding for us to share. Hey gorgeous! Are you feeling refreshed after the sunny weekend? I have some treats in store for you this week… and we’re starting today with a beautiful reminder that things WILL go back to normal and we WILL have parties and hugs and proper weddings again. I’m desperately hoping it’s soon – because this kind of loveliness is too special to miss. Lexi and Chris’s wedding had everything: an outdoor ceremony under an ancient tree with Chris’s military kit giving the occasion a certain gravitas… and Lexi is just STUNNING! They celebrated with a tipi reception and festival / fete inspired party afterwards, and the dancing went on until the early hours. Memories, hey? For now, let’s celebrate with this gorgeous pair.

We began to unplug about 5 years ago, when the novelty of aunties having camera phones became a really big deal at weddings. Rather than seeing rows of happy faces, brides began to see rows of iphones (flash on) hiding faces as they walked down the aisle. Distracting, much? And those who thought about it in advance would make or hire little signs telling the aunties their wedding was Unplugged – and to kindly stop taking photos of all the best bits.
