Wedding style inspiration of Elegance and Artistry: Monet’s Waterlilies Meets Sense and Sensibility
A beautiful photoshoot from a talented group of wedding suppliers at Pynes House in Devon, sent in by Jennifer Jane Photography
Set at at the stunning Pynes House, a Grade II listed, Queen Anne-style mansion that oozes charm and history. This wedding editorial was inspired by the serene beauty of Monet’s Waterlilies, the timeless elegance of Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility, and a dash of Shakespearean romance. Let’s embark on a journey through this remarkable wedding photoshoot, where nature and art merged to create a day of timeless love.
Pynes House, an architectural gem nestled in the heart of the English countryside, was the perfect backdrop for this extraordinary event. With its meticulously maintained gardens and stately interiors, it exuded the kind of timeless elegance that would make Jane Austen herself proud.
Bella, the model bride, was adorned in a designer dress that was nothing short of a masterpiece. The Caroline Castigliano gown, from Carina Baverstock Couture was adorned with delicate embroidered petals, meticulously placed to mimic Monet’s waterlilies in a breathtaking display of artistry. The petals flowed down the gown, creating an illusion of floating on water, much like the impressionist’s paintings.
Alex, dressed in a classic black tie suit, was the perfect embodiment of Mr. Darcy. His timeless attire lent an air of sophistication and matched the romantic ambiance that permeated the day.
The heart of the photoshoot was the ceremony setting beside a tranquil fountain. Beneath a Romeo and Juliet-style balcony adorned with beautiful fresh flowers by The Flower Sessions, the couple read from vow books created by Rose and Grace Design. The white water lilies floating on the fountain added a touch of Monet’s magic, giving the ceremony setup a surreal quality.
The grand hall of Pynes House was transformed into a dreamy haven for a wedding breakfast. Two large crystal chandeliers hung over the breakfast table casting a warm, romantic glow over which to dine. The table, covered in a free-flowing chiffon tablecloth, looked like a canvas for a watercolour painting.
Urns of tumbling flowers ran down the centre, bringing the charm of a summer garden indoors. The table settings featured pale pink lace-detailed plates, adding a touch of delicate femininity, while lilac serviettes fanned across them, creating a harmonious blend of colours. The colour palette of the flowers and table setting was drawn from the serene blues, pastels, and greens of the Waterlilies painting, creating a harmonious blend of nature and art. Wedding favours were whimsical, colourful lollipops that adorned each plate, offering a sweet ending to a perfect day.
Inspired by Monet’s Waterlilies and Sense and Sensibility, this wedding editorial was a harmonious fusion of art and love. Against the backdrop of the stately mansion and its picturesque gardens, this wedding shoot was carefully curated to reflect the intertwining inspirations of Monet’s artistry and Austen’s timeless stories. And serves as a reminder that, just like Monet’s lilies and Austen’s novels, love is a thing of timeless beauty that can continue to inspire and captivate the hearts of generations to come.
