Confessions first: I’m not here. I’m off grid, somewhere in Pembrokeshire, hiking the coastal paths with my man and sleeping in a gypsy caravan. But last week I wrote this gorgeous blog for you, and I’ve been SO excited to share it with you all!
As some of you lovely readers will know, I live on the edge of the Lake District, on the beautiful coast of Cumbria. When photographers send me weddings which are close to home it makes me very, very happy – and Broadoaks Country House is one of those charming Lakeland wedding venues I have quite a soft spot for.

How did you choose your photographer?
We searched online and chose the photographer because we liked her style.
A vibrant, relaxed micro wedding with just two witnesses – and all the fabulous details to make the day look amazing. Jade and Richard had to rethink their Nigerian wedding because of the pandemic, and downsized their plans to this intimate and romantic celebration of their love. With a gorgeous bride and groom, a stunning pixie dress and funky suit, summer meadow wildflowers and a home made cake, this is exciting and inspiring – the perfect little wedding. I was over the moon when Nik from Trilion Productions got in touch to share this lovely little micro wedding with us. Gorgeous couple Roanne and Rey were married on Roanne’s birthday in July, celebrating with closest family and friends – and their adorable little boy is the star of the show! Roanne’s dress is wonderful for a summer wedding, with a beautiful skirt silhouette – I love it! Styling was kept elegant and minimal, with a simple calla lily bouquet. I fell in love with this wedding for the glorious images, and the joy and love which shines so strongly through the images. In 10, 20, 50 years time looking back on this day will be as perfect as any big wedding could ever be. Congratulations Roanne & Rey, we LOVE your wedding!
